Mayors for Meals Food Drive

Mayors for Meals Flyer

The City of Ballwin is participating in the multi-county "Mayors for Meals" campaign, in partnership with the St. Louis Area Foodbank. The Mayors for Meals campaign is a way for local communities to support those facing food insecurity during the COVID-19 pandemic. On Saturday, May 9 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., our Police Department (300 Park Drive) will serve as a no-contact, drop-off location. A collection bin will be placed in the lobby.

According to the most recent numbers from Feeding America (https://map.feedingamerica.org/), prior to COVID-19 hitting the area, there were more than 400,000 food insecure people living in the St. Louis Area Foodbank’s 26-county service territory. More than 137,000 of those individuals live in St. Louis County. That’s almost 14% of the county’s population. Our local food pantries are currently faced with depleting inventories during this time and your donation goes a long way towards helping communities rebuild during this time of need!

Items needed:
Unsweetened Applesauce
Canned Corn
Canned Peas
Chili w/Beans
Spaghetti O's
Canned Peaches
Skillet Dinner
Canned Tuna or Canned Chicken
Peanut Butter
Instant Oatmeal Packets
Cereal

If you, or someone you know, needs food assistance, you can find pantries and distributions closest to you on the St. Louis Area Foodbank website!
