The Pointe at Ballwin Commons Reopening June 15th

Last Updated 6.19.20

We are pleased to announce The Pointe at Ballwin Commons is scheduled to reopen on Monday, June 15 with modified hours. We will be following the guidelines issued by St. Louis County and have instituted some changes to typical operations.

Our new hours are as follows:
Monday - Friday: 5:15 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Admission is limited to members only (no daily admission will be allowed at this time) and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Members include Pointe, Pointe Plus, Platinum, Silver Sneakers, Renew Active, Silver & Fit, Active & Fit, and Gympass. We are required by St. Louis County to operate at 25% of our normal capacity, so no more than 325 members can be in our facility at one time. Members will need to enter the facility through the west entrance and exit through the north entrance (these will be clearly marked).

Since the facility closed on March 17th, all monthly memberships were not processed and all annual memberships were put on hold. On Monday, June 15, memberships will resume. For those who pay annually for your membership, you will receive a 3-month extension added to your membership’s current expiration date (annuals that expired will receive the equal amount of time that was left on their pass before expiring). If you pay monthly dues, your payment will process on June 30th or July 15th (depending on your payment schedule). Please direct all questions regarding membership to Recreation Manager Gayle Junge at gjunge@ballwin.mo.us.

In addition to everything mentioned above, we will be instituting the following operational changes to comply with St. Louis County guidelines:

  • Face Coverings - Members (9 and older) must wear face coverings at all times except when exercising.
  • Admission Screening - We will screen and conduct temperature checks for all members before admission to the facility. Additionally, all staff will be screened and temperature checked at the beginning of their shifts.
  • Childcare - Childcare will be available during Childcare's normal hours of operation.
  • Training and Classes - Personal training will be allowed, but we will have limited class sizes and limited schedules. Our Group Fitness Class Schedules and Spinning and Silver Sneakers Class Schedules for the first few weeks can be found here
  • Equipment - No lifejackets, pool noodles, or rental equipment (paddles, basketballs, pool cues, etc.) will be issued.
  • Disinfecting - We will provide individual cleaning cloths to be used at the facility. These will need to be left at the facility to be washed by our staff.
  • Lost and Found - There will be no lost and found. All items left behind will be discarded.
  • Gym - The gym is available for recreational use, however, you must bring your own equipment and organized sport activities (such as pickleball, basketball, and volleyball) will not be permitted.
  • Rentals and Parties - Facility rentals will not be available until August 1st and Birthday Parties will not be available until September 1st.
  • Activities - Activity registration for all recreational programs is open for everyone. This includes races, swim lessons, day camps, etc.
  • Cardio Machines - Bikes, rowers, and ellipticals may be placed around the walking track.
  • Water Fountains - You will need to bring your own refillable water bottles. We have a water bottle filling station, but our water fountains will not be available for use.
  • Locker Rooms - Showers will be available, but guests are required to spray showers with the supplied disinfectant.
  • Indoor Pool - Our Indoor Pool Schedule can be found here. Capacity restrictions are as follows: Indoor Pool (89), Water Aerobics (18), Lap Swim (2 people per lane w/45 minute max), Spa (4).

If you have any additional questions or need clarification on anything mentioned above, please send an email to Recreation Superintendent Hedy Boone at hboone@ballwin.mo.us.
