CITIZEN COMMENTS

If you wish to address the Board during this meeting, please fill out the “Citizen Comments: To Address the Board of Aldermen” form and place it in the tray on the table in the center of the Board Room before the meeting begins. Topics of a global nature, such as requests for ballot initiative endorsements, should be submitted in writing to the City Clerk at 14811 Manchester Road, prior to the meeting.

Please limit your comments to 3 minutes as an individual and 5 minutes representing a group. Please avoid repeating comments others have already made.

MINUTES
The Minutes from the April 22 Board of Aldermen meeting are submitted for approval.

MOTZ SUBDIVISION (Bill 3786)
A petition was submitted to approve the subdivision of the property at 615 Kehrs Mill into 3 lots. The existing house will be retained on one, and two new houses will be built.

ESSEN PLACE SUBDIVISION ZONE CHANGE (Bill 3787)
A petition was received for the approval of a final R-4 site development plan for a 20-lot single family subdivision at 520 Kehrs Mill. The Planning & Zoning Commission recommended approval.

LOWE’S OUTDOOR STORAGE – S.U.E. (Bill 3788)
Lowe’s submitted a petition to amend their site development plan to allow more extensive utilization of the parking lot area around the store for the sale, display, and storage of residential lawn and gardening supplies.

JIMMY JOHN’S FRONT YARD PARKING – S.U.E. (Bill 3789)
We have received a petition for a Special Use Exception for a restaurant with a drive-through window and front yard parking.

STREET NAME CHANGE (Bill 3790)
This legislation changes the designation of Kehrs Mill Road from Ballpark Drive to the eastern terminus at Seven Trails Drive.

BUSINESS LICENSE PENALTIES (Bill 3791)
It is recommended that our delinquency fee schedule be reduced to conform with current state statute.

ADMINISTRATIVE FINANCE CHARGES (Bill 3792)
It is recommended that the service charge fee (Sect. d.2) be increased to reflect current banking practices and that delinquency fees (Sect. d.3) be rolled back to conform with current state statute.

DENTAL INSURANCE
Renewal of this insurance coverage, subject to a 4% premium increase, is recommended.

COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS
Mayor Pogue would like to designate the assignments for the four Aldermanic standing committees.

BOARD AND COMMISSION VACANCIES
Mayor Pogue would like to address the appointments that need to be made in conjunction with May term expirations.

FUTURE MEETINGS
The next meeting of the Board of Aldermen will be held at The Pointe At Ballwin Commons on June 17 at 7:00 p.m.

BOARD ROOM AUDIO/VISUAL
Based upon further analysis by our architectural team, Communitronics is still the low bidder.

HEALTH INSURANCE
It is recommended that the 6% premium increase be shared proportionately by the City and the employees, based on the current distribution formula.
