Community Development Block Grant

St Louis County Government’s Home Improvement Program is offering up to $5,000 of home repairs for eligible Ballwin homeowners, at NO COST. Eligible items would include roofing, electrical, lumbing, heating, air conditioning, hot water heater, tuck pointing, foundation work, hand rail installation, concrete, asphalt, masonry, tree trimming or removal, insulation, etc.

Qualification criteria:

You must own the home and live in the home, your property taxes have to be current, you cannot have participated in the program previously, and your total household’s income must be within the following Income Limits (which is the Adjusted Gross Income listed on your 2017 Federal U.S. Individual Income Tax Return):
Family of 1 – less than $43,050     Family of 5 – less than $66,400
Family of 2 – less than $49,200     Family of 6 – less than $71,300
Family of 3 – less than $55,350     Family of 7 – less than $76,200
Family of 4 – less than $61,450     Family of 8 – less than $81,150

Senior Citizens - Please Note: For Senior Citizens, many times some of your Social Security income is not included in the Adjusted Gross Income figures listed on your Federal U.S. Income Tax Return (and therefore might not be counted in the figures listed above).

The Home Improvement Program is federally funded and operates through St. Louis County Government’s Dept. of Planning, Office of Community Development in conjunction with the City of Ballwin.
