11.27.18 City Administrator Hanson Resigns

Ballwin, MO— Ballwin City Administrator Eric Hanson has announced his resignation with the City effective November 21, 2018. The Ballwin Board of Aldermen held a special session on Wednesday, November 14 to discuss filling the vacancy.

“Mr. Hanson’s leadership has greatly benefited our organization and we wish him the best of luck,” said Mayor Pogue. “Ballwin has a tremendous reputation for being a wonderful place to live and raise a family, and although a change in senior leadership will affect some things, it will not affect the quality of service our residents receive.”

Hanson began working for the City of Ballwin in the summer of 2015 and accomplished a lot for the community in that time. About his resignation Hanson stated, “After careful consideration and discussion with the board and my family, I have decided I am ready to pursue other interests and opportunities. I am extremely proud of all we have accomplished and wish the board and our tremendous staff nothing but the best going forward.”

At the Monday, November 26 Ballwin Board of Aldermen meeting Mayor Pogue announced Bob Kuntz will serve as interim city administrator. Kuntz served as Ballwin’s city administrator for nearly 27 years before retiring in 2015. A nationwide search will begin immediately to fill the vacancy.
