On Thursday, April 2, the Board of Aldermen approved Bill No. 4058, an ordinance authorizing the Mayor of the City of Ballwin, Missouri to declare a state of emergency. This became Ordinance #20-06. Mayor Pogue then declared a state of emergency specifically directed towards the current COVID-19 situation and the Board adopted an emergency plan.
Under our current, active State of Emergency, certain scheduling, staffing, and assembly changes will be implemented for the safety of the general public and City employees. The objective is to minimize the spread of COVID-19 within the workplace and general public by reducing unnecessary physical contact, limiting face-to-face interactions, and ensuring all social distancing guidelines are observed.
The City of Ballwin is committed to serving the community and will continue to provide basic and essential municipal services to all residents.
