Eric Sterman Selected as New City Administrator
The City of Ballwin is pleased to announce the selection of Eric Sterman as the new City Administrator for the city. His anticipated start date is Monday, August 10.
Sterman comes to the City of Ballwin with over 14 years of city management experience. He is the current City Administrator for the City of Sunset Hills, a position he has held since July of 2016.
“Mr. Sterman has a proven history of successful city management and leadership. He brings a wealth of experience and ideas that align perfectly with our community. We are honored to have him join our team,” says Mayor Tim Pogue.
Sterman holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the St. Louis University College of Public Policy and a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Management/Information Systems from the Syracuse University School of Management. Before his position in Sunset Hills, he worked as the Assistant City Administrator for the City of Lake Saint Louis for five years. His professional experience also includes management work for the cities of Ellisville, Clayton, and Rock Hill.
Sterman is a member of several professional and civic associations, including the St. Louis Area City Management Association, Missouri City/County Management Association, International City/County Management Association, and the IPMA-HR Greater St. Louis Chapter.
He is excited to join the City of Ballwin and serve the community.
“I extend my deepest gratitude to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen for this incredible opportunity,” says Sterman. “I am proud to serve as the next City Administrator and look forward to working closely with City leaders and community members.”
Sterman will replace Bob Kuntz, who was selected to serve as the Interim City Administrator in late 2018.
