St. Louis County Emergency Rental Assistance Program

The St. Louis Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) is a rental assistance program designed to provide relief to low- and moderate-income households residing in the County of St. Louis that are unable to pay rent and/or utilities due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Enrollment opens April 5, 2021.

Who can apply for the COVID-19 ERAP? 

An “eligible household” who resides in the County of St. Louis that meets the following criteria:

  • A renter that pays rent on a residential dwelling;
  • Qualifies for unemployment or has experienced a reduction in household income, incurred significant costs, or experienced a financial hardship due to COVID-19;
  • Demonstrates a risk of experiencing homelessness or housing instability; and
  • Has a household income at or below 80% of the area median income (AMI).
