1. Where can I find information about permits?

The Public Works Department issues grading permits, and excavation permits. Click here to find more information on Excavation permits. Information about other permits issued by the City can be accessed by clicking here.

2. Our streets are in need of repair. Who do I contact?

The Public Works Department does various street repair including joint sealing, pothole fill/repair, slab replacement and street reconstruction. Please or call the Public Works Department at (636) 227-9000 for further information.

3. We have a raised (or sunken) sidewalk. Who do I contact?

The Public Works Department wants to keep the public safe by repairing any trip hazards throughout the City.  Please or call the Public Works Department at (636) 227-9000 if you know of any unsafe conditions.

4. The streetlight near my house is not working properly. Who do I contact?

AmerenUE is contracted by the City to maintain streetlights.  You can call AmerenUE at (314) 342-1000.  However, the City is happy to contact AmerenUE for any resident who notifies by or phone (636) 227-8580. You will need the number located on the pole, normally beginning with “BA.”

5. Who do I contact for street sweeping?

The Public Works Department includes street sweeping four times per year, typically in March, May, July, and September.

7. There is water running down or leaking onto my street. Who do I contact?

Please contact Missouri American Water as they handle all issues concerning leaking water. However the City is happy to contact them on your behalf if you'd prefer. us or call us at (636) 227-9000.

8. We have a sinkhole in the yard or at the curb near a storm sewer catch basin. Who do I contact?

Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District deals with all issues concerning sewers and drainage. You can contact them at the above link or by phone at (314) 768-6200. If the sinkhole is not near a storm sewer catch basin email or call Public Works. If you have further questions about drainage or think the City may be responsible, please contact the public works dept by or phone at (636) 227-9000.
