Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia-June 24, 6-7pm: Learn about the impact of Alzheimer’s, the differences between Alzheimer’s and dementia, Alzheimer’s disease stages and risk factors, current research treatments available to address some symptoms and Alzheimer’s Association resources.
10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer’s-July 22, 6-7pm: Learn about typical age-related changes, common warning signs of Alzheimer’s, how to approach someone about memory concerns, early detection, the benefits of a diagnosis, the diagnostic process, and Alzheimer’s Association resources.
In addition to The Pointe’s cooperative efforts, there are multiple opportunities to get involved and assist in fundraising as part of the Longest Day campaign. The Longest Day, the summer solstice, is during June and participants in the campaign fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.
