Ongoing Programs for Seniors
The City of Ballwin offers a variety of programs for those ages 55 and up, some in conjunction with cities and municipalities around the area.
Lafayette Older Adults Program (L.O.A.P.) - Staring September 12
L.O.A.P., or the Lafayette Older Adults Program, is a partnership between Manchester, Ballwin, Chesterfield, Ellisville, Wildwood, Winchester and the Parkway and Rockwood School Districts. The program is designed for adults age 55 and older who are looking for a fun active group to make new friends, hear great speakers, go on exciting day trips and play bingo and cards. Free coffee, soda, and dessert are provided; we just ask for you to bring a sack lunch. Trip space is limited and is first come, first served. Pre-payment is required for all upcoming special luncheons and trips. Detailed information and registration forms are available at all LOAP meetings. Please note that day trips and special luncheons are optional and involve separate fees.
Lunch & Bingo
Join us for lunch, fun BINGO and prizes on the first and third Wednesday of the month. We will play six rounds of Bingo followed by lunch and dessert, and then play six more games of Bingo. Pre-registration is required by the Monday prior to the event.
Bridge - Starts September 6
Join us every Tuesday at the Pointe for a fun game of Bridge! There's no need to register and it's free to play!
Classic Silver Sneakers:
SilverSneakers is a health and fitness program designed for adults 65+ that’s included with many Medicare Plans. Move to the music to improve strength and range of motion. A chair for balance and equipment is provided.
Silver Sneakers Yoga:
SilverSneakers is a health and fitness program designed for adults 65+ that’s included with many Medicare Plans. Chair support is offered so you can perform a variety of seated and standing postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity. This class is suitable for nearly every fitness level.
50+ and Fit Classes
Low impact class using a variety of methods to improve endurance, strength and flexibility.
