Our great nation turns 250 years old on Saturday! I took a drive around Ballwin this afternoon and you can see our community’s Patriotic Spirit everywhere! Over 1,000 American Flags adorn our business districts and parks. Plus, yards and subdivisions all over Ballwin are displaying the Red, White and Blue in honor of our nation!

Have you decorated your yard in celebration? Ballwin is sponsoring a yard decorating contest! There will be prizes for the Best Overall Display; Best Red, White, & Blue; and Most Creative! If you want to enter your yard in the contest, Take pictures and Direct Message them to Ballwin Parks & Recreation on Facebook! Contest ends on July 10th!

Looking for a fun evening for your family? Join us in New Ballwin Park for our Free Summer Concerts! Great music in a beautiful setting and if you get hungry or thirsty the Boy Scouts will be there selling pretzels and ice cream as well as water and soda. Hope you can join me for the next concert on July 8th at 7:00. There will be two more concerts on July 22nd and August 5th .

Guess who is coming to Ballwin? On Friday night July 24th , Santa Claus is taking a break from his summer home on the beach to join us at North Pointe for Christmas in July! Come on up and enjoy the Twilight swim from 7:30 - 10 p.m. and float down the lazy river with Santa!

Streets, curbs and sidewalks replacement and repair are underway all over Ballwin. The city is investing a record amount of money this year into our streets, sidewalks and parks! Much work is underway and more will come in the weeks ahead. Please be patient with possible traffic delays, closed roads and facilities and we work together to build an even greater Ballwin!

Mark your calendars for August 13-16 for Ballwin Days! Bring your family and join my family and hundreds of our neighbors and friends in Vlasis Park for fun, food, rides, music and fireworks!

My family like many of you will be watching Fireworks to celebrate our Nation’s 250 Birthday on July 4th! It is an opportunity for all Americans to come together and celebrate our Great Nation!
