This Month's Message from the Mayor
Dear Friends, The air has turned cool and the leaves are starting to fall! It is October in Ballwin! Hope you and your family are enjoying the season!! We have been building in Ballwin to better serve you! In the last 8 years we have built a new Government Center, New Police Department and most recently a new Parks Maintenance Facility and renovated Public Works Facility. Thanks to conservative fiscal management, all this has been accomplished with no tax increases and Ballwin not incurring any debt! Plus, we have added green space to Vlasis Park! You are invited to join me, your Aldermen and City Staff for a tour of the Parks Maintenance Facility and Public Works Yard on October 17th ! Bring the family to check out the facility and the trucks and our amazing staff use to maintain our parks and streets! Halloween will be here in just a few weeks! To get this spooky season off to a good start, join us at the Pointe for the Halloween Hullabaloo on October 23rd ! Dress in your favorite Halloween costume join us for games, prizes and our annual chili cook-off! I am looking forward to seeing everyone and awarding the traveling trophy to the winner of this year’s cook off! Are you already missing summertime at the North Pointe? Well, come to the Pointe and check out the renovated pool and its awesome new children’s play structure! Plus, enjoy all the other updates and renovations at West County’s premiere recreation facility! Finally, as I said, the leaves are starting to fall. Our awesome curbside leaf collection starts on October 26th . We will make several passes through every neighborhood to make sure every homeowner can take advantage of this free service. Just be sure that no one parks in front of your leaf piles, so the vacuums can get in close!! I hope everyone has a great October with lots of fall fun!
