April 7 General Election

What you need to know about the April 7, 2026 Election: 

The City of Ballwin will begin accepting Declarations of Candidacy for Aldermen starting on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 8:00  a.m., at the Ballwin Government Center, 1 Government Ctr, Ballwin, MO for the April 7, 2026 election.  The closing date for filing is Tuesday, December 30th, 2025 at 5:00 p.m.

The Ballwin Government Center is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. except for the holidays of December 24, 2025 and December 25, 2025. The office may be closed during inclement weather.

One Aldermanic position (two-year term) in each of the four wards will be voted upon. There will be an additional Ward 1 position voted upon to fulfill an unexpired term ending in 2027. The filing fee for Alderman is $30.  All candidates must be at least 18 years of age, a resident of the City for one year preceding election, and be a resident of the Ward from which they would be elected for Alderman.

Voting Information:

Voters in Saint Louis County may vote at any polling place in the County on Election Day.  Polling places are open from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.  If you are in line at the closing time of 7:00 p.m. you have the right to cast your vote.
